He started at 18 in a salon in Harderwijk and was soon asked for hair & make-up for television. It was a small step to also appear in front of the camera himself as a beauty expert. For years, Leco has been associated with RTL Boulevard as a beauty expert for which he regularly gives his views on the latest trends in hair & makeup. In addition, Leco provides a total look for many influential personalities and presenters; sometimes daily in the TV studios, at other times during editorials for magazines.

'I knew what I wanted to be when I was 7 and cut every girl next door from the age of 9. I was born for hairdressing and really enjoy doing it. I know how special that is. I think I'm dying with scissors in my hand. I love it. Jump out of my bed every day and think this is what we are going to do. I dare to look ahead, then it never gets boring either.'
