In 1999, somewhere in a garage in southern Sweden, the enterprising Wikström family began researching and blending ingredients for hair care products. Inspired by founder Ann's great-grandmother, Maria Nila, who had great respect for the planet and animals, our philosophy was born to provide the world with vegan and kind beauty. Today Maria Nila has left the garage and can be found in over 45 countries across 3 continents, and we are proud to still be a family business - now with a larger family that continues to grow. Together, we work toward the vision of leading lasting beauty and continuing to lead the industry in the right direction. With our heritage and vision, we want to continue to provide the world with professional beauty in a kind, curious and honest way. We do this by developing 100% vegan products with color-protecting formulas and using CO₂-compensated packaging.
